Which valves do I need?

As the pipe inlets for this designer radiator are positioned on the side you do not have to worry about which type of valve you need. Whether your pipes come up from the floor or directly from out of the wall you will require a pair of angled radiator valves in order to connect this product to your central heating system. For perfect results we recommend that you choose a pair of valves from the range which can be found in the Essential Extras area of this product page.


This 1780mmx 472mm radiator has a classic, flat panel design that is made current by a fashionable anthracite finish. It features eight flat panels which have been designed to give optimum heat output and create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Only one week old, the vertical radiators bring style to our new extensions.very warm and feels comfortable, I’m happy I made this purchase

These radiators and valves look really good in the new kitchen. The tall, thin design is perfect to fit in the space available while still (on paper) giving a high heat output. I can't comment yet on the actual heating effect as we don't need the heat yet, but they should be plenty big enough to heat the room come winter. Again, I can't comment on long term robustness, but they look to be well made with a good even coating applied to the surface. Providing they last and provide sufficient heat, I would rate them 5 star. I also got a narrower version as well.

Good looking rad. Would have been helpful if there were some dimensional details for fitting the upper fixing mounts. Would have made hanging quicker, but a little thought worked it out.

BTU Calculator

Radiator efficiency, is measured in British Thermal Units (BTU). The dimensions of a room are used to calculate the BTU output required to heat that room. Radiators all have a known and calculated BTU output. Using the BTU outputs in the Product Specification or description above, it is easy to calculate the size of radiator you need to help provide the total heat output necessary for your room.

How to calculate BTU requirement

The best way is to ask your plumber to perform the calculation for you. If you don't have access to a plumber, you can use the BTU Calculator below as a guide. Please note that the calculated figure relates to the combined heat output of all radiators in the room, therefore the towel rail or radiator that you purchase need not satisfy the entire BTU output if it is used to complement existing radiators.
