Choose the Right Bath to Suit you

Baths are now available in more sizes and styles than ever before, and choosing the right type of bath that not only meets your requirements, but suits the shape and size of your bathroom can be a tricky choice to make.

Straight baths

Standard straight baths are ideally suited for families with young children as they offer a practical bathing solution; think about choosing a double-ended bath where the taps are in the middle to make washing your kids easier, and also to provide you with a comfortable soak at whichever end you wish. Straight baths are typically made from steel or acrylic, both of which are very hard-wearing.

There are baths that measure just 1500mm in length, which are ideal for small bathrooms. You don’t have to be limited to a straight acrylic or steel bath, there are even freestanding baths, corner baths and shower baths which feature smaller dimensions than standard, so you can be sure to create a stylish feature in your small bathroom. A compact freestanding bath is a great way to add some wow factor to your bathroom and provides a luxurious soak.

Shower baths

Shower baths are ideal for small bathrooms, which don’t have enough space to install a separate bath and shower enclosure. A shower bath features a clever design that allows you to combine bathing and showering in the same space.

Shower baths widen out at one end to create a comfortable space for showering, but don’t compromise on bathing space, they are also available in two designs including  p-shape and square. The p-shape shower bath is available in two lengths including 1700mm and 1500mm, which is great for where space is tight.

Freestanding baths

If you’re lucky enough to have a bathroom with plenty of space why not choose a stunning freestanding bath? A freestanding bath positioned in the centre of the bathroom creates an eye-catching feature, and will be the first thing you see as soon as you walk into the room.

If you want to achieve a traditional look to your bathroom opt for a freestanding roll top bath or a slipper bath. For a more modern look choose a contemporary freestanding bath.

Corner baths

For a bathroom with an awkward shape a corner bath may be the best solution for making the most of the available space. A corner bath also provides a different alternative to a straight bath, and can add a feeling of luxury too.

Corner baths are available in a variety of sizes ranging from a 1200x1200mm to an offset 1500x1000mm. Offset corner baths, where one side is longer than the other, feature a handed design so make sure to check if you require a left or right handed version before you buy.
